The inert product will not affect your pH or alkalinity, allowing you to adjust both of these important water quality parameters any way you wish. Can be used in Freshwater or Saltwater aquariums, keep in mind you will have to use aragaMilk, or aragaMight to keep your alkalinity and pH up where they need to be!Directions:All Super Natural gravels and sands are pre rinsed but it will be useful to wet and minimally rinse all of them. CaribSea Aragamax Select Saltwater Sand is a good intermediate sand size product. The precise 0.5 - 1.5 mm grain size combines some of the animal friendly properties of fine sand such as ingestibility and low resistance to burrowing, with better diffusive flux properties and good porosity.

This oolitic sand, Dry Aragonite Sugar Sized Saltwater Sand 30 lb by CaribSea, is ideal for shallower beds, allowing denitrification in as little as 1in depth. The fine grain size can pass easily through the gills of gobys and other sand sifting organisms. The naturally spherical grains are gentle to sharks and rays. Grain size 0.1 - 1.0 mm.
