From the description, I couldn't tell if all the fittings, filters, & etc. were included. It was and I've found the filter to be a very good value & works well.

This filter may seem a little bulky but it fits under the tank and provides a clean clear water, and has a polishing filter to get out any cloudy particles. I haven't had to use the polishing filter as the filter does a great job alone. My tank is beautiful thanks to this filter. Highly Recommended~

Just to let you know I'm a Plumber by trade, and the quick disconnect valve, use by Marineland for the magnum filter, should be thrown in the trash. customer service at Marineland, told me to put the cap on then, the hose, and try to put the hose under the cap. That's no way to do a compression fitting that I know of. I used quick disconnects for garden hose to solve my problem, and I didn't find it to be self priming. after i finally got all the problems worked out, I'm happy with the filter, I would buy another one, if they would fix the valve problem. I have two hot magnums and I am happy with them.

I bought a 350 Magnum in the 1970's and used it on a 50 gallon aquarium for 10 years with no problems leaking or noise. I had large discus fish which demand exceptionally pure water conditions-they did well. 20 years later we made an outdoor pond which was about 150-200 gallons and used the old Marineland Magnum 350 canister filter again to keep the water clean in that pond. To install it I dug a hole outside and beside the pond and dropped a set a 5 gallon bucket in the hole. In the bucket, we placed the Magnum to do it's job. Over the years, the bucket got dirt and debris inside, and many times because of outdoor conditions and rain, the bucket filled with water and we had to siphon it out. Even though it was submerged in water for extended periods-through all of this abuse, the Marineland Magnum 350 canister filter has kept working. During these last 20 years, we have had turtles and/or goldfish in the pond and the Marineland Magnum 350 canister filter kept the pond crystal clear. It was rare that I had to change the seals. In total, I'd say the unit has serviced me a at least 30 years of service-and it still runs quiet! In the last 10 years we stopped having fish and turtles; so now we can regularly dose the pond with bleach to kill the algae-yet this hasn't hurt the Magnum or the seals. I'm finally having issues with the unit now-seems it may have a short in the electrical cord somewhere. Cleaning and changing the filter is easy. Sometimes priming it to start or getting everything inside lined up perfectly before snapping the lid down tight could be trying (primarily because of the difficult set up I had with having the unit in a bucket in the ground) however, even then, if I was patient and careful with what I was doing the process went well. Yes, I will be purchasing another Marineland Magnum 350 canister filter to keep running our outdoor pond. I would highly recommend it to anyone who needs a simple external filter.

I got one on a 55g tank, and I am getting one more. I am using the first one with charcoal and zeolite, and will use the second one with bio media, some peat (to reduce PH), and at times use the water polishing option that comes with the filter. Very quiet, as long as you burp it to remove all air bubbles. I love it.

It's a little hard to assemble initially, but when you get used to changing the filter, it becomes fairly easy to clean and reassemble. It can be a little noisy depending on how quiet the room is, but overall a pretty good product.

It works great. Keeps 100 gallon tank clean and odor free with four large turtles. No more weekly water changes!

Very happy with this filter. I was worried at first with the few negative reviews I've read. But I'm glad I took a chance and got it. I've never seen our aquarium water this clear. Even my children now enjoy sitting in front of the tank watching our fish. Filter is very quiet. Set-up was easy (if you read and follow the directions on the manual carefully). I appreciate everybody who took the time to write their reviews and recommended this product.

this filter is amazing! i'm using it on my 55 gallon and the water is crystal clear! the micron cartridge is the key to all this so i highly recommend you buy an extra because you will make good use of it. also the price was amazing i found this for $150 at a local store so as soon as i found it here i had no choice but to buy... haven't regretted it for a second

I HAVE THE MARINELAND MAG 200 CANISTER FILTER THAT IS HAS BEEN IN SERVICE FROM 10-1985 JUST OIL THE MOTOR PER MO. ! WOW !

Been using this filter for 5 years for my fresh water tank and couldn't be happier. Works great with low noise. I like being able to hook the vacuum directly up to the filter, makes cleaning the gravel way easier. I had a 200 gallon turtle tank with one of these filters connected to an under gravel system and a 350 Penguin on the back of the tank and with 3 turtles, the water stayed crystal clear. Great workhorse for general cleaning.
