I bought this for a litter of puppies and love it! It keeps the puppies safely contained so I can wean them and housebreak them. It's so easy to set up and clean and the puppies can see out. I also bought one for my son so he can take his dogs with him when he travels. I'm extremely happy with this product and highly recommend it.

In 35 yrs of having pets and making purchases for their comfort etc. this is on the list of BEST ever. I also ordered the smaller size for front hall - they love being in the sun at front door all day and now that cold weather is on its way the yard is no longer the best option for sun basking. Pet Mountain has an extensive array of hard to find items as well and the prices are great! It is the only place where the Li'l Pals double sided comb is available.

On June 30, 2011:
As a board member of the local humane society, I foster lots of kittens and pups. This easily portable play pen was great for my last litter of kittens--allowing room for a litter pan, a bed, and a play area. The kittens were old enough to climb out if I left the top off, but my other animals couldn't get in to eat the yummy kitten food. It is lightweight and easy to transport, which is great for adoptathons or moving animals inside and outside. I especially liked having two side zipper openings and the top which zips off. The bottom is great, too, and keeps litter from getting onto your floors. While I love it for my purposes--young kittens, pups, and calm dogs and cats, this would not be heavy duty enough for a determined animal who wanted out! Stick with the hard-sided playpens and crates for those purposes.

We love this product and so do our cats! It is well-made and a good size. However, we don't understand why the top zips on and the bottom is held on with velcro strips. There are large gaps in between the velcro. If the object is to keep pets inside, it seems that a solid attachment on the bottom would be a good idea. We are keeping the item, but working to secure the bottom before using it outdoors. Once that is accomplished it will be perfect.

On January 25, 2011:
I have 12 year old mini schnauzer and will be getting a puppy this May, so I got this mainly for a new pup, but my 12 year old schnauzer loves to go in to sleep! It's a good size for my small condo and when I get a pup, she will have enough space for her to run around. I love the fact that it's easy to unfold and fold it back up, has the mesh top you can easily attach or remove and the carrying bag! Also, it has pockets on them, which will be useful when we take it outside! Love them! Just make sure the size is right for you or not! Once you figure out the size, just get them! You won't regret it!! I looked everywhere for a play pen that is strong, easy to use, maintain and not so expensive and this is where you can achieve all that!

On December 1, 2010:
Purchased the small size for my shorkie puppy (2 lbs.) Pros: Compact and great size for travel. Easy to fold up, easy to clean . Cons: My puppy can pull up the velcro floor with his teeth and can already jump out of it if the top is not zipped on. I still really like it but only for short periods of time or he will figure out how to get out of it.

On September 30, 2010:
I have two Whippets and hate having them in separate crates. I was at a Flyball tournament and a vendor had the Soft Side Play Yards on display. My wife and I loved them however they didn’t have the large play yard there for purchase. When I got home onto the web I went and found the play yards in stock at Pet Mountain… a couple clicks and a few days and now my kids/dogs can hang together instead of in separate crates. You can’t beat the ease of set up and break down of this thing. You take it out of the real nice case that is provide “free” and just pull the sides to form a circle. Then you put the Velcro floor in and zipper on the top, not even 20 seconds. Break down is just the opposite, unzipper the top, remove the Velcro floor and fold up the sides to make one big square and put everything back in the bag. We used the Play Yard this past weekend at a Fair ground for a Flyball tournament. We were outdoors and it was very windy. The wind and sun never bothered the dogs with the mesh acting like a wind breaker and umbrella, every time they went in the play yard they rested and went to sleep. Very nice product.
