I was very hesitant to buy this after reading the other review that says you cannot push this brush through tubing. But I took a chance and found out that you can push the brush into the tubing. The connection between the wire-stemmed brush and feed line is a loop-to-loop. Using a push-pull action cleans algae build-up in my tubing satisfactorily.

The picture misrepresents the brush

From the picture, I thought I would be able to feed the brush into the hose first by pushing the plastic wire...but it's not so. Using this brush, you have to disconnect both ends of the hose, feed the wire in first, and grab the end of the wire at the other end of the hose to pull the brush through the tube. Less convenient than the other type even though this is the longest wire I can find so far.
