These pads are made with porous foam to help trap large particles, debris and other dirt like substances in your Aquarium.  These are especially helpful in aquariums that have a large population of aquatic life.

It is recommended that these foam pads be replaced every 2 to 3 months and can be rinsed clean with water between replacements.
