Having read all the bad reviews I went ahead and purchased it anyway. It's hard to tell whether it's working or not because it takes an entire day to make a complete rotation. The center funnel has to be place properly which could be my issue. If it's not, the food will not fall in the very small exit whole during the rotation. I very carefully cut the food scooper hole a little bigger hoping that it will scoop up additional food more easily. I'm waiting to see whether that corrected the issue. Be careful not to manually rotate the food bulb once its attached to the battery component as I did because it will break/strip easily. I don't like that its so big. That makes it difficult to find a proper place to attach on tanks that have covers. I don't feel 100% comfortable that my fish will actually be fed while I away either.
