Gets the job done but the water line is supposed to be a little too high for my tank.

On January 8, 2011:
This heater is shorted out by water evaporating from the aquarium in no time. Plus it can't keep a steady temperature. It sometimes won't heat and at other times wants to keep heating all the time. I bought 5 of them to my regret. They are all shorting out. One after another. Plus in the meanwhile they are keeping the temperature of the water jumping from one extreme to another. Too high or too low. You get what you pay for. In it's case garbage.

On November 1, 2006:
This heater served its purpose for over 2 years. For the money you cant beat em. Just be careful not to change temps quick otherwise the glass can break
