Old School, still stands up against New School

I love corner filters. Yes, you need to put your hand in the tank, they take up interior tank space, air pumps can be distracting, but they filter well and you can pack the media as you like and need.
Corner filters are great for breeding fish as fry are less likely to get sucked in and if they do, are easily freed. Also by having the filter in the tank, they are less likely to be ignored, allowing the keeper to note if it needs cleaning, unlike HOB filters, which are easily forgotten and will pollute the tank if left dirty.
