On September 23, 2009:
After reviewing quite a few filters, I settled for this one. You can't go wrong. It maintains the water clean and clear. In the process, it serves as a waterfall and bubble producer which the turtles seem to enjoy. Good quality at a very reasonable price. The replacement filter 3 pack is also a good investment!

On January 7, 2008:
i think that this filter performs better than other models of the same brand, and it performs well longer than other filters, and also will not let newts behind the filter cartridge.

On August 13, 2007:
This filter is perfect for turtle tanks since it can be placed at nearly any water level. Does a good job at keeping the water clean. The downside is that if the cartridge is not replaced or cleaned often then water will flow over the filter instead of through it.

On June 19, 2007:
This is the first filter I bought for my new turtles. It works ok if you don't have small rocks in your tank. If you do the gunk seems to collect around them and does not reach the filter. I kept the small rocks to a minimum. I like the waterfall effect. A decent filter for the price.

I have used a variety of filters for my tank. I found that the repto filter works great and is strong enough to clean even the nastiest waters.

I have a baby red eared slider and his tank keeps getting really cloudy and i had to change the water every day...bought this filter and put it in my tank and the water stays crystal clear. I Love it!

On November 1, 2006:
I started using the Tetra ReptoFilter two weeks ago and it's working great. I've got two turtles in a 10-gallon tank and the filter is able to keep the water clear. The directions are simple and easy to follow. Plus, the turtles love playing with the bubbles that are created by the stream of water that flows down.
