Hydor Slim-Skim Internal Protein Skimmer Aquarium Skimmers at Pet Mountain

After doing research and looking at many reviews on all the skimmers out there, I decided to give this a try. Everyone who has bought one has had good luck and gives it thumbs up for how quiet it is. It is indeed super quiet and does its job. Installation was easy. Construction of the product is good. I'm not worried about it cracking or breaking at all. After 3-4 days of initial run time, it produced nice skim mate for my tank. I like the cord clips and suction cup features alot. it keeps everything looking nice and neat. i would recommend this to anybody who wants a quiet slim sized skimmer to put in the tank. I will definitely be looking into getting the smaller sized version of this product for my nano tank.

On March 18, 2012:
Had it up and installed in about ten minutes. With in the first few hours it started working. By the next morning the collection material started darkening up. It is nearly silent. All I hear are the air bubbles from the air stone. Tank setup is 55 gallon in a loft against a wall that splits between the bedroom and living room so it is always in view (earshot). Very non-intrusive. Very high quality product and worth every cent so far. Water quality improved dramatically in only a few days.
