Soft Collar Saves Cat's sanity
By Mary from Fairport, NY
On May 16, 2011:
Our cat is allergic to many things, including certain medicines. While treating her for skin cancer she started scratching at the area we were treating on her face. The doctor suggested she wear a cone to prevent access to the treatment area. She hates the cone and would sit all day and night, avoiding food, water and her litter box. When we removed the cone to let her eat and use the box she would immedialy scratch. Finally the Dr sent a link to a website showing a soft collar. We called all over the area and one store had just received some Kong EZ-Soft collars. We immediately went and purchased one (very reasonably priced!) and put it on the cat. She is now eating, resting comfortably, running and playing. We believe part of the benefit is that sounds do not bounce off the fabric like they do off the standard plastic cone. Because it is flexible, she is not restricted where she can go. And it can be switched from a cone to a collar by easily flipping it. The one thing I wish had been included with the collar is how to wash it. THANK YOU!!!!!
