Kong Goodie Bone Dog Chew Bones at Pet Mountain

Kong goodie bone is a great toy that's almost indestructible and my two goldens love it. They each have their own now.

On January 25, 2013:
I really like these Kong treat-stuffing bones for my large breed dogs. They last at least a year if not more before they start to develop cracks. I think the black bone shape is slightly more durable than the red for strong chewers, but I still use both to give my dogs variety and I have never had a problem with them falling apart and causing a choking hazard. Very happy with these!

On August 14, 2012:
My new Labrador puppy just loves this toy. We are crate training and he spends hours in his crate happily chewing, trying to get the treats. His Weimaraner buddy - our 5 year old Weimy - loves it, too.

Kong is the best for active young dogs - it's tough and durable and it actually LASTS - great price for something durable!

This toy is shared by all four of our dogs. Two labs (one is a puppy), a Golden Retriever and a Catahoula Leopard Hound. It has stood up to throwing, tugging, and chewing better than we expected. The spot for treats in the end is a bonus! Definitely a good buy.

Kong toys are some of the best toys out there for aggressive chewers. I love this toy and, better yet, so does my dog. She's a boxer/hound mix who is a seriously aggressive chewer and has shredded other "tough" toys. Kong holds up - withstanding her ridiculously high energy level and dedication to chewing. Love it. We also like to put peanut butter into the holes in the end, or dried mango slices. She enjoys playing with it even more that way!

On September 4, 2010:
I get this bone each night as my treat and love it. Mom puts Kong paste in it and a few pieces of my food and I am happy for 1/2 hour!

On May 22, 2010:
I have purchased two of the black Kong bones. Two of my dogs are hard chewers and they have not destroyed these toys yet. I have not tried the red Kong bones yet but think I will. One dog feels left out when i give them these bones filled with treats before I leave the house. They are chewing of tiny parts of the ends though but I understand it safely passes through their systems.

Like all of the Kong products, this is a well-made toy that will last a long time. The compartments at each end offer enough space to insert a treat, but small enough to hold them tight so that the dog will really have to work at getting to the treat. One of the best! My dog is a 30 pound beagle & I would think a smaller size would be better, but this is fine.

On April 23, 2010:
I have two dogs, one American Bulldog and one Pit bull. I've bought numerous Kong toys for them in the past and have been fairly happy with their durability. Last evening I bought each dog a large Kong Goodie Bone. Within hours my American Bulldog had the ends of the bone tore in pieces. I know he's a good chompin' dog, but I was sad to see this new $17 toy torn in pieces so quickly.

On January 12, 2010:

Both dogs loved them and after a week they are still in one piece!

On November 3, 2009:
We have several of these Kong Goodie Bones and we cycle them through the dishwasher. We renamed them Bye-Bye Bones because we load them with chicken jerky at either end and don't get a second look from our little Spitz mixed puppies when we leave the house. They are too busy with their Bye-Bye Bones!

On May 3, 2008:
I am so happy that I found this bone again for my dog. She is a strong chewer and the only toy that she has not completely destroyed is the Goodie Bone in the Extreme. It is her favorite and she chews on it daily. While we mix it up with other toys and activities nothing has lasted. I can now have a few around the house. Thank you for all the Extreme Kongs and keep making more!!!!!

Anybody with dogs knows how great Kong toys are for keeping dogs busy. Of all the Kongs, this bone-shaped one seems to work the best because it is the traditional bone shape, which is ideal for gnawing, plus you can load it with peanut butter and little pieces of biscuit and the dogs work and work to get every last bit out! I have three for my three dogs and am purchasing six more for when these get hidden around the house!

On June 25, 2007:
If you have a lab or a super chewer you need a couple of good Kongs. This one is great because you can put a biscuit in both ends. I do it every time I leave the house and I don't have to look at the sad eyes when I walk out the door.

The Kong Goodie Bone is an excellent choice for dogs who like a small treat and it takes them a while to get it out. I buy small biscuits that will fit into the holes on either end of the bone. Leave the biscuit sticking out to start with until they get the swing of it. Then stick it in farther, so it takes them a while to get it out. We have samoyeds so we get the pink ones that are 7 " long.
