Nylabone Puppy Teething Keys is specifically designed for young puppies to aid in the growth and development of their teeth and jaws...and to encourage safe and non-destructive chewing.
During normal chewing, small bristle-like projections will be raised on the keys which help clean teeth and massage gums. This is not a consumable product but small shavings (no larger than a grain of rice) should pass through without effect. This product should not be used by a dog with any of its adult teeth.

My Beagle Loves These

My 2 and a half year old beagle adores these keys. I know they say you're not supposed to let them chew them once they break bits off, but I'm confident she's not actually eating them as there are bits EVERYWHERE when she is done chewing. If your dog is likely to actually eat the pieces, then don't give them this toy, since they can easily tear pieces off. They're pretty big chunks, so be careful when vacuuming. We keep a set at our house and at my parent's house since she spends a lot of time there. They last a while, she's a VERY destructive chewer, but one set lasts her about 6 months. She chews the keys off the ring eventually, so once that happens I know it's time to order more. She doesn't show as much interest in other chew toys, but when she wants her keys, she'll dig through her toy bin until she finds them.

My puppy is okay with this chew toy. He would much rather chew on a shoe, couch, window, or any wire that is around. But when he sets to chewing on these he can chew on them for quite a while and they have really held up! I am happy with the quality, I am just not sure why my puppy is not very interested in them.

I breed AKC CH miniature and toy poodles. My mini puppy from the latest litter is 9 months old and she absolutely loves the Nylabone keys. Everytime we purchase dog food we have been buying 3 sets of the keys. She is never without them. Wish the ring held up better.
