On September 20, 2012:
This brush worked great before his bath getting all the dead hairs and flakes off. It didn't seem to do much when he was all shampooed up. I still haven't had to brush him a week later because it worked so well the first time!

I have a poodle and found that this brush is for medium to short hair animals. this brush did not really get to Ozie's undercoat. Ultimately, Ozie found it to be a great chew toy ;-)

On November 19, 2010:
I have 2 dogs, one short-haired with a single coat, and one medium-haired with a double coat. This brush works well on both of them. I had a furminator for them but I've found that doesn't work well on short-haired, single coated dogs. This rubber brush is much better at massaging the skin to get the loose hairs out. The brush doesn't really collect the hair, but since I do this outside I just let the hair blow away in the wind or gather up the clumps that form and toss them in the trash. The dogs seem to like the massaging function of the flexible "teeth." and will let me brush their necks and bellies in addition to their backs. The biggest fan of this brush is actually my cat. I often find her rubbing her face on the brush if I leave it facing up on a tabletop. She loves to be brushed with it too, though her hair doesn't really get caught in the teeth either. The teeth must feel like a massage; she really enjoys it. I am very happy with the brush and its unexpected popularity among my pets.

On October 27, 2010:
This brush is outstanding for cats with thick coats. The cats love the massage effect, all loose fur is removed (by the handful), and we have no shedding on any of our furniture. I have given these away to friends for years and they are also happily amazed by the results. Our cats literally ask to be brushed and purr their heads off.

On October 19, 2010:
We bought this to help shampooing our golden retriever. I don't think this brush effectively detangles or sheds our dog's coat but I do think it is helpful with overall massaging and also getting the suds into the base of his coat. I guess it does serve my needs in that regard.

This simple grooming tool works wonders! My cats and dogs all love the way it feels and stay very still for daily grooming. Best of all is the way it gathers the loose hair. I have found that the hair does not stick to the Zoom Groom but the tool does push it up into a little bundle that you can gather up. I have a bunch of other combs and brushes that I am giving away!

On March 25, 2010:
I am very happy with the amount of hair this brush removes. Having a boxer I was told they shed little to no hair but I do find a lot in the house and car. This brush removes it but it doesn't stick to the brush, rather collects to one spot which can be removed by hand. Kong makes awesome pet products by far..!

I love this brush! It does a great job and my dog loves it too. It removes hair quickly and doesn't bother my dog at all. She will sit still as long as I am brushing her. (even roll over to get her belly brushed!) The hair comes out of the brush very easily.

HERE'S THE RULE - "IF IT'S KONG, IT'S GOOD !! TAKE YOUR PET OUTSIDE AND STROKE THIS FROM HEAD TO TAIL AND THE HAIR JUST COMES RIGHT OFF, NO PULLING, NO HASSLE, IT'S GREAT !! BUT DO IT OUTSIDE !!

IT'S NOT WHAT I EXPECTED, BUT IT WORKS VERY WELL AND WITH NO DISPLEASURE TO THE ANIMALS. WITH EACH STROKE THE HAIR JUST GLIDES WITH IT AND ADDS UP FAST. IT REMOVES ALL LOOSE HAIR BUT DOESN'T PULL OR TEAR OUT ANY HAIR...I USE IT ON MY GERMAN SHEPHERDS AND CATS, BOTH LONG AND SHORT HAIR...IT'S BEST USED OUTSIDE !!

Our dog has short hair and sheds a lot. This is my second zoom groom and I love the way it grabs onto the hair and pulls it out. I just take my hand over her body and remove the hair from her body after using the zoom groom. Will always have one or two on hand.

On December 16, 2007:
We love to use the zoom groom when bathing our yellow lab. His coat is so thick it is hard to really get through all the hair when bathing and it really helps the shampoo to lather. I do not find it the best brush for my dog's type of coat when brushing him dry.

On September 6, 2007:
Last weekend we hired a groomer to come to our house to groom our english bull dog. He is pure white and sheds a lot. First think she recommend was the zoom groom. We tried it and it works great. Even after she trimmed him we used it to get some loose hair off. I am buying one to use every day on him now as well as our other bulldog even though he doesn't shed the groomer said it's great for there skin. Works great

On June 25, 2007:
The first time I used this, the wind was blowing. After a few minutes, I looked up and I had a tumble wind of lab hair floating down the street! I could not believe the amount of loose hair it took off my dog.
And he loves when I use it on him. He seriously goes into a trance.
