Petmate Le Bistro Waterer Gravity Dog Waterers at Pet Mountain

On March 26, 2012:
I bought two of these, one for the cat and one for the dogs. They are nice, sturdy, heavy-duty. The 5 gallon is a little hard to lift when it's full of water, but other than that they are great.

On April 19, 2011:
I have had this 5 gallon watering bowl for just under 10 years. I have had over 5 dogs and 10 cats using it (not all at one time, but darn close) and I only had to fill it once a week. That was awesome. Well, much to my dismay, I have acquired a cat that LOVES water. I don't mean loves to drink it, I mean loves to splash it all over my floor and knock over the jug when it finally gets empty enough to push! I wish that there could be either an attachment OR just a built in splash guard so that my devil kitty cannot swim in the bowl and get it all over my floor. I have to refill my new splash proof bowl 3 or 4 times a day and I miss being able to use my 5 gallon.

On August 17, 2010:
...except my cat hated drinking out of it for fear of the bubbles starting up. Ah well. Back to refilling glass dishes frequently. But I found nothing 'wrong' with the product itself, no issues to speak of.

On July 23, 2010:
I got some use out of mine. like some one else quoted. the bottle top cracked and the base is still in good shape. Makes it nice not to have to daily fill up the dog water. Just wish i could buy pieces separately

On July 14, 2010:
I looked all over for this medium sized waterer. None of the large chain stores carry this neutral color. I'm glad to see the variety choice I needed here at Pet Mountain.

On June 6, 2010:
1 gallon bottle, should have bottle only for purchase. Bottle needs to be designed thicker. After time, it becomes brittle and cracks.

Had the same problem with the bottle breaking. I bought a 5 gal bottle for an office dispenser. (bonus it has a handle) Then I found out that Petmate does sell replacement parts.

On January 12, 2010:
If you go to the Petmate site they offer replacement parts for their products. Including the water bottles. I just bought a regular 5 gal. bottle used for the water dispensers at offices. It fits and has a handle.

On November 23, 2009:
The base is very strong, but the bottle cracked within a short period of time. I would like to be able to purchase the bottle separately. Other than that, the product worked well.

On November 22, 2009:
It would be nice if I could just buy a replacement 5 gal bottle for my waterer. I fiber glassed it the first time it cracked bet am unable to fix it this time . The bottle gets brittle after a few years of use . My base is still in good shape and usable. Just need a new bottle. If I can purchase just the bottle please let me know and what it will cost. If your manufacturer of the bottle could make the bottle thicker I believe this would alleviate the bottles from cracking and causing the bottle to leak. Respectfully Mr. Richard Lee King.

My daughter dropped the bottle and broke it. I wish we could just order a replacement bottle. Its a waste to throw away the bottom and buy a whole new one. I love the watering system. Our dogs drink a lot...

On October 19, 2009:
We have bought two of the water units. Both of them have cracked after a short time of use. The thing that cracked is the bottle that holds the water. I wish you could buy just the bottle. We now have two bottom parts that are good, but no bottle.
