Petmate Replendish Waterer - Brushed Nickel Gravity Dog Waterers at Pet Mountain

I have had two of these -- my first one lasted about 6 months and I had the bottle sitting up on a stool next to me getting ready to fill it up, was turning on the water when one of my dogs brushed against it and it fell over and fell off the stool onto the dirt, it fell not quite 2 feet and landed on the cap it was empty and very light, the cap where the square cutout for the filter is snapped through and the whole unit became useless. The unit is no good without the bottle cap, I thought this was a fluke so I bought another one and just started using it yesterday, well guess what exact same thing happened when I was getting ready to fill it up sat it on a stool next ot the waterhose, one of my dogs brushed it , it tipped over, and fell on the cap (less then 2 feet fall) and snapped all the way through now I have a 35 dollar useless water bottle becuase the cap is cheaply made and snapped all the way through where it is weak where they cutout the square filter hole. Also I feel it is unfair they are selling this unit as a filtered water cap unit, it does not filter the water as there are cutout holes on the side of the cap allowing the water to fill the bowl quicker and bypass the filter, if you don't filter all the water your pouring non-filtered water into the bowl which makes it not filtered like they claim. Very disappointed spending over 60 dollars for both units I had to pay 35 plus shipping for the first and they depend on a part that is so cheaply made any sort of impact or pressure on the cap causes failure, cracking, and shattering into pieces.
