Heating element fine. Disappointed sides are soft and short. Was hoping for a secure place for "Kali" to snuggle in.

On March 3, 2011:
This heated cat bed works just as it is supposed to and my cat took to it within a day. It is very attractive, enough so that it is unobtrusive looking in the corner of a formal, downstairs room. It is big enough for most cats, even larger ones.

On November 19, 2009:
My old cat can now warm her bones in this nice cat bed. She took to it right away. Although the bed doesn't feel very warm to the touch, it works as promised if you press lightly on the surface as per the directions. Cord is well made and adequate length. I recommend it.
