This is a great chew for puppies or small dogs. My medium (30-40lb) dogs will go through them too fast (15 mins) if they get a hold of them...and they are not big chewers. But my puppies will have one for a week (it is their special crate treat), so definitely worth the money for them. Try Antlerz if you are looking for a longer chew for bigger adult dogs.

These wishbones are fabulous. My Pomeranian is a chewer and can spend hours doing what he loves -- chewing. The wishbones are clean and do not break easily which makes me feel confident that they won't be a choking hazard. There is no offensive smell or discoloration.

My Golden loves these wishbones -- he knows where they are, and he sometimes just stares at us until we get him one. (Guess who owns who?) At any rate, I started looking for another source because the one I usually buy from was out of stock. Pet Mountain has BY FAR the best price, and the order arrived in just a few days. So, needless to say, I now have a NEW source. Great price and service.

After having an emergency with my 4lb Yorkie choking on a rawhide bone that the knot broke off and was caught in her esophagus. I will never give her anything else but the Wishbone. She loves them. they will not break apart and she is so happy. I have given them to so many friends as gifts for their dogs and they also love them. Not a safer chewy around. My dog loves these chew sticks and it takes her a good 15 or 20 minutes to chew them up and she's a very fast chewing pup. Allows us to have a peaceful dinner without any begging as this product keeps her quite occupied.

My golden retriever is an aggressive chewer and nothing he chews lasts very long. But these "Wishbones" do, and I feel safe with him chewing them, as he cannot bite off big chunks that could choke him. He goes crazy for them, and I certainly appreciate that they are made in the U.S.A.

Merrick Doggie Wishbones are individually wrapped keeping them CLEAN and SAFE for your dog! My 1 year old Beagle just loves these and one keeps him chewing for an over an hour. Best price anywhere!

On October 19, 2009:
My dogs love the Merrick Flossies, so I'd hoped they'd love these. Unfortunately, they don't. Also, each one was individually wrapped, almost shrink-wrapped, so they are time-consuming to open. I'm sticking with the Flossies!
