Carlson Pet Gates Maxi Walk Thru Gate with Pet Door Metal Dog Gates at Pet Mountain

Install was a bit tricky when I came to put bolts in but went together after a few swear words. Looks great and my dog loves it!

On March 3, 2012:
Ordered this gate to keep the dogs out of the dining room. Doorway is 59.5", so thought this would work. Unfortunately, when assembled, the gate is 54". It is 60" only if you extend the threaded adjustment rods to its max of 3". Fine for the 8 pound Maltese, but my Yorkie (4 lbs) can squeeze through the 3" gap. Otherwise, the gate is very nice. Very sturdy, gate door works great & love the stabilizing foot. Obviously not using it to block off the dining room. :(

On January 14, 2012:
I am very happy with my Walk Thru Gate....but even more so with the customer service I received. The product arrived damaged. I contacted the company and they responded immediately, sending me a replacement gate. It arrived in perfect condition and I am enjoying it very much. It is very attractive and does the job perfectly.. My two big dogs don't like it so well though... They figured out how to open the old one I had...but this one is beyond their realm of doggie wisdom. Thank you PetMountain... :-)

I am very pleased with the quality of this gate - it works very well, keeping both our Yorkie and husky out of the kitchen. Installation is easy - in my situation, I had to saw off about 4 inches from the extension ends to fit my 48-inch opening. Took about 30 minutes total time to install.

I ordered this gate because of the extra tall size. It keeps my dogs from even thinking about jumping it. This is the second one we have, and love them both. They look nice on our deck and they keep the dogs safe.

JUST WHAT WE NEEDED FOR THE GREAT ROOM. EASY TO INSTALL YET STILL KEPT THE BEAUTY OF THE HOME. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!

This product is exactly what I was looking for; a gate with a door so I can pass through without having to step over it. The only disadvantage is the door is narrower than I expected, so my husband who is much larger than I, keeps bumping into it when he is not careful. The fence is extra wide to fit the area. I also ordered two extensions along with with the fence/gate, and they were very easy to install. It is well worth the $$ spent. It is excellent quality and looks good in newer home, almost as if it belongs there. I was having a lot of problems with my two little 6 pound chihuahuas (they cannot get through the bars), urinating around the house while I was gone and this product rectified the problem. They are now confined to an area where it was almost impossible to find a gate/fence wide enough while allowing them to use the doggy door. THIS IS THE PRODUCT! I did a lot of research for the one to meet our needs and this is it. I also spoke to customer service several times for advice and assistance in placing this order. They were terrific!
