This is exactly what I needed. I purchased and returned so many baby/pet gates because they were too flimsy, not wide enough and or gate was not geared for "healthy" sized guests. I found this one and I installed it as is and true, there was a gap large enough for a Yorkie to get through. BUT determined, I removed the base board on each side and have had this gate up for over a year now and it has worked perfectly! All I need now is a similar product that will expand to 72".

On May 30, 2010:
I bought this product a couple years ago and now I am ready to purchase another one for our deck outside. It is so easy to use and works perfect for our small dog.

We love this gate! It is so clean looking when installed and closed and when we retract it into it's case, it is hardly noticeable! Easy to use and serves the purpose--high quality--my puppy tries to get under it, but does not succeed--one thing to note, if you have baseboards, use shimms so that the mesh is flush to the floor--you can always re-tighten the mesh to keep a persistent pup thwarted--we love it!!!!!
