The base of the globe has an ON/OFF button, which will activate the lights. The solar panel at the top of the ball uses wireless technology to charge the included battery during the day when the switch is in the ON position. This will allow your globe to light for several hours beginning at dusk. A weight at the bottom of the ball keeps the solar panel upright for optimal charging, and a small loop at the top allows you to anchor the item if desired.
