Tetra Pond Pond Debris Handling Pump Pond Water Garden Pumps at Pet Mountain

I have been using two of these pumps in my turtle ponds for about 3 years, 24/7 and they are great. Last spring, I built a 2,000-gallon turtle pond and installed two more such pumps and they are doing well. No more of the clogging pumps for me. I've been through Beckett and other smaller pumps and was always dealing with clogged pre-filters and clogged pumps themselves. The only time I had a problem with the Tetra pump was when I allowed it to get into sand. I had to take it apart and clean out the sand (they have directions) and thereafter kept it out of sand and it worked fine. For messy ponds and tanks, this is the ticket. I do not give endorsements easily, but I am very happy with these pumps. Wish I had started with these instead of the other brands.

On November 3, 2010:
My pond pump had finally taken a dump and I needed a pump fast. Saw this one and decided to try it. The expedited shipping was WAY faster than I expected (it arrived in 2 days) and was packed well. The pump was easy to install and is running like a champ! I haven't even needed to clear the gunk away that I used to have to do with my old pump! On August 21, 2010:
I purchased this pump for my waterfall after fighting half a season with another filter that required a pre-filter to keep the pump operational. Well at the beginning of the season, this original set up worked fine. Then midway through our season and after having to pull the pump and pre-filter out of the water every few days and clean the filter because it was clogged again... I decided to try this debris handling pump. What a joy. I have been using it now for almost three weeks and have yet had to pull it up from the bottom of the pond and clean out the inlets into the pump. I highly recommend this pump for anyone that might be having issues with pre-filters getting clogged. I will be buying another one shortly for next season to supply water to my Pressure Filter and bog Filter. 5 stars out of 5 stars.
