Becareful using this bulb

I have used the 100w mvb by trex and loved it to death. I recently made a bigger viv for my bearded dragon, so i decided to bump up the wattage a bit... i went with the 160w mvb by trex and if you get the following codes you need to return the product... these codes have been known to cause eye problems.. J1,K1 or L1. I got L1 and my lizards eyes were swollen shut, after that he refused to eat and we are still battling the issue with one of his eyes... i enjoy this bulb but stay away from those batch numbers, if you use them you are putting your reptile at risk.
So far so good!

My beardie loves this light much better! You can tell because he's become more active and I went from a 10 gallon to a 55 gallon (long). So far, so good. I'm happy with it.

We have been using T-rex active UV heat bulbs for a little over a year now. All of our animals show brighter colors, increased appetite, vitality and are more active. We use these bulbs for everybody-igs, beardie and gator. We would be at a loss with out them and so would our herps.
