I'm with Ellen from Clermont, FL on this one. I bought my 150w Heat Glo on January 9 and it burned out sometime between the 26th and 27th. That's less than 20 days! The packaging says it's rated for 24 hour use, although it doesn't offer any info on expected life span. The fellow in TX that has been using his for 9 mos doesn't mention if he uses it 24-7. I'm returning mine for a refund, because this is ridiculous!

On May 20, 2010:
Kept a nice warm area for my red eared slider. She was able to bask for long periods and not get to dried out. GREAT PRICE.....CHEAP!!!!

On October 9, 2009:
I use this light to light and heat up my tank at night. My Bearded Dragon has grown really big over the past 2 month and I attribute this to his ability to digest and get the proper levels of calcium and vitamins in his diet which is ensured by the Exo-terra bulbs.

On August 18, 2008:
I have been using my bulb for over 9 months now and have no complaints. I am back again to buy more for my new reptile setup! Thanks for the great price.

On February 17, 2007:
While the Heat Glo 150 W blub was a great idea and worked well, it lasted less than a month. We only put it on from 11pm to 7am and think the life span was too short for the price. There was no suggested length of time on the box to go by. We have one more of these bulbs but will have to find a replacement when this one dies.

On November 15, 2006:
Has compact size and very deep red color. Mine didn't last as long as I had hoped, but that is probably due to vibration of the element. Otherwise, Great Product!
