On September 6, 2011:
Ordered one red and one blue 26' Tape Flex Leash to replace the two old shabby ones I was given about 3 years ago. Don't know how old they were, but I know they were OLD. Loved them so much I went to a well known pet store to buy replacements and almost died when I saw how much they were. I found PetMountain on the Internet. They have great prices and great delivery and tracking info. A 26' leash is longer than recommended for my 20-30 lb dogs, but I like them to have a good run and I also want to have control of them to keep them away from some very busy streets. Also bought two training leads. I haven't used them as yet, but they look like a very substantial product.

On August 30, 2011:
Classic Long 3 All Belt Leash - 26ft by Flexi...great product. This is the third one we have purchased over the years. We have an Irish Setter and a Pitbull, and the leash works great for both dogs. Plenty strong, and easy to use.

I had a Flexi3 that was a cable type (THAT GOT CHEWED UP) and wasn't sure about the tape type. But after using it for a while it is just great! My pit bull needs daily exercise and whether it's on a nice long walk where he gets some freedom to run back and forth or just to exercise in the back yard ( he will run in a circle and jump up for his toy endlessly) this is the best leash I have ever had. He enjoys the freedom and I enjoy our times together even more than before. After use - If wet, open all the way and let dry before retracting. If you want total control and versatile freedom . . . this is the leash for you. ENJOY!

On October 11, 2010:
I have had one of these leashes for each of my 2 dogs and have never had a negative experience with this product in over 5 years of use. That is why I am ordering another after losing one while out with my Dog in a field yesterday.

On September 26, 2010:
This leash does the job it is intended for, but as with all retractable leashes, care must be used to avoid burns and injuries. I do not recommend this for an untrained dog, but it works well with a dog that has some leash training. I also suggest following the manufacturers directions and letting the leash dry before retracting if it becomes wet.

On July 1, 2010:
The product itself is OK--however, I was very disappointed that the handle did not have a more comfortable grip. The description does say "hard plastic" but indicates it's molded for comfort. It is NOT a comfortable handle and it slips out of my hand easily. The previous Flexi leash I had had a firm-grip rubber coating on it. The grip on this leash is so slippery, that twice the dog has pulled the handle out of my hand.

On June 26, 2010:
This is a 5-star product! I have used them for years, with several generations of canine companions. I have large dogs, and we walk everyday for two miles on a long beach (leashes required). They love to swim and sniff every little whiff of something along the way. The flexi-leashes get some pretty rough treatment -- they're in the water, in the sand, in the mud, with a strong dog at the end. If you follow the directions and keep the leash housing clean, they'll work well, on a daily basis, for at least two years. I would not be comfortable walking my dogs without using a flexi-leash.

On June 20, 2010:
I have a 40 pound Lab puppy. When I put this leash on him he was able to run a 50 foot circle around me over and over until he was exhausted. If I tried to run with him on our regular lead, I would have been exhausted within minutes. We take long walks in parks and on beaches and this long leash gives my dog remarkable freedom without my fear of loosing him in a new environment. It takes a bit of time though, for the dog to understand how not to wrap around trees and benches. I have only had two problems with the 26 ft. leash: The leash is spring loaded and retracts really fast. It can cause nasty skin burns if someone accidentally gets wrapped up with a dog running around them. I had the leash on my dog locked with about 4 feet of lead and stopped to talk with a friend. Because he was not closely watched , he chewed through it in under 20 seconds.

On April 27, 2010:
Flexi belt leashes are durable and very reliable. My wife and I started using them with our new Bull Terrier and have been completely satisfied with our purchase. We are buying another right now as a gift for my in-law's Golden.

On December 15, 2009:
We walk Siberian huskies in open spaces. They tend to hit the end of the leash at high speed, and it holds. We do replace the leash annually for safety's sake, and we are mindful of the potential for "tape burn" if it rewinds or extends rapidly against skin.

On October 21, 2009:
We live in the city and have two energetic dogs (that can't be off leash) that we walk one or two times a day. These 26 ft. leashes let them run and get more exercise than they would on a regular leash. We use them so much, all year round, that even though they are well made, eventually they wear out...and we have to replace them. I just hope they never stop making these! Pet Mountain has very speedy shipping. I also prefer the rubber gripped handle.

On January 10, 2008:
The 26 feet of length lets my dog roam. The all tape feature gives me confidence that I can grab it without burning my hands. Note that the tape is black and a slick fabric that is not overly cloth like. Most important is that it has not failed to retract. The handle is comfortable in my hand and it is not too heavy to carry around. In short, it gives my dog more flexibility than a 6 foot lead or 16 footer, without being too heavy or awkward. And the price is fantastic.

On December 26, 2007:
My Flexi Leash endured years of abuse. It has been dragged, dropped, scraped, and yanked around and over rocks, stairs, corners, and trees. The rubber grip is worn off the handle. If the nylon hadn't been cut, it would still be working good as new! I MISS THAT OLD LEASH!!!!

we have been using Flexi leashes for years now. We purchased them back around 1991 when we got our first lab. it gives him so much more freedome. this leash has finally worn out after 16 years and we are now replacing it with the same product. i hope it holds up as good as the last one.

I purchased this leash after a competitor's leash failed after less than 1 week of use (stop recoiling). This is an extremely durable, high quality leash. The tension and braking system operate flawlessly. I use it on an American Bulldog mix and an English Setter. My dogs are able to walk in comfort (as am I) and I feel that I have secure, reliable control over my dogs. I'm purchasing a second one now so that I can walk both of my dogs. Purchase this product with confidence.

I've used other retractable leashes and none hold a candle to Flexi. . .I've owned several generations of Flexi long retractable leashes and they work well and they last a long time!

I have used Flexi Leads for years and they are still going after ocean and mountain treks. Still have mine that is 10 years old, just wanted the newer longer model for our new Aussie.

On May 9, 2007:
I have quit using other retractable leads after using the Flexi. They have never let me down when my massive beast hits the end of the lead (although I've gotten dragged a bit). Typically, I find that the brake system won't lock after a large dog hits the end of the lead enough, but not with the Flexi. My leads last for years. I am just buying a longer one, the others still work and are over 6 years old.

On March 11, 2007:
We have tried every lead out there for our 90 pound retriever mix, and this one is the best. Love the handle, love the fact that the leash itself is not just a chord, but has some substance (won't hurt you when it wraps around your legs!), and it is long - the longest we've found; it gives the dog some freedom!
