Kyjen Hard Core Fire Hose Squeak N Fetch Toy Squeaky Dog Toys at Pet Mountain

I have mastiffs and they are notoriously rough on their chew toys. One of my boys can go through this "fire hose" toy in minutes. However, my other boy adores this chew toy and he isn't as aggressive with it, so it literally lasts for months. I am careful to remove all the stuffing and squeaker once he opens it up, so he basically chews on the tough outer casing, but he couldn't be happier. As for my other boy, he no longer gets to chew on these toys! Bottom line, depending on how aggressive your dog chews, this could be a longer lasting toy, but please make sure to remove the stuffing and squeaker for their safety!!

My pit bull had chewed through this toy and pulled out the squeekers in less than 5 minutes.

Compact and easy to take with you on walks/outings. Easy to hold onto when playing tug. Great for training purposes. Like many interactive toys, it should be picked up and put away when you are not actively playing with it because your dog can chew through it quickly. My GSD loves it!

This item was coming apart at the seams after less than an hour of chewing by one of my dogs. BIG waste of money! I would not even give it one star, but I don't have the choice of no stars.

On January 28, 2011:
We had previously purchased a "Fire Hose" and it became a favorite. The new one is a little larger. It actually is a little too big for our dogs (GSDs), but they still play with it. Their favorite is still the slightly smaller size. I'll buy another, but not the super jumbo next time.

On December 29, 2010:
Purchased this product in PetCo and then decided to check the Pet Mountain website and we found almost everything cheaper. This product is great because we can use it in the water where we spend our summers.

On July 17, 2010:
We bought this toy for our Saint Bernard, and he had it for a total of 5 min before he had started to rip it to shreds. We had thought this would be great for him, but turns out it does not withstand his strength.
