These are by far the best chew product on the market and worth every penny! Great for all dogs, big, small, old and young. My dogs go nuts for flossies!
On August 9, 2010:
I have chihuahua's and we all know how picky they are right? Usually they think they are too good to chew on anything. Well, mine just love the flossies. I have bought them every week for years. I just found this site and can't believe the super prices. I am ordering them by the case from now on.
On August 4, 2010:
I have been buying the Merick flossies for some time and my dogs absolutely, positively love them. It does keep their teeth clean. I would choose this product over pigs ears or any other kind of chew stick. I have 3 dogs so I go through them pretty quick. Pet Mountain is the best price with their shipping and discounts. I highly recommend this product and if my doggies could talk, I can't even imagine what they would say. Probably, More, mom, more.... When I first saw these in the pet stores, the cost was about 6.00 each for the 6-8 in. Outrageous. I couldn't afford that, but this I can.
On August 3, 2010:
I have one resident beagle and two foster beagles right now. I have never had one of my dogs decline a Flossie. They just never fail! Whenever I want a few minutes of peace and quiet, a Flossie is my answer!. I also notice that my resident dog (adopted just a few months ago) has whiter teeth and a lot of the tartar is gone. Highly recommend the product.
On July 30, 2010:
The Flossies are my customers & their pet's favorite treats by far. They are great as the dogs love them and they help to keep the tartar off of their teeth. They are especially a great treat for small dogs.
On July 28, 2010:
My 2 little Yorkies LOVE these when they aren't busy chewing them they are playing with them. They have one at night before bed and it lets us get some sleep.I think the flossies are almost calming for them. I am a forever customer. I don't know why they have to be so expensive but Pet Mountain had the best price.
On July 24, 2010:
This is my dog's FAVORITE. He gets one each night at 8:00 PM. He knows what time it is. He paces the floor until he gets his "curlie". And if you forget - he'll remind you. HE LOVES 'EM.
The vet also always comments how clean his teeth are - I am convinced it's from these treats.
On July 21, 2010:
My little girl loves Flossies. She gets two on the weekends and one every Wednesday. I hold it for her while I'm having my morning coffee and we enjoy that special bonding time together. You can't beat this price. I was paying more than double this at a local pet store and twice that amount at another online site.
On July 1, 2010:
As an added bonus, Flossies don't give off an unpleasant odor as some of the other chews can. My fussy Westie is crazy about these.
On June 29, 2010:
My dog loves these things. It's like her drug. It's all natural material - beef tendons - so it's good for her. Much better for the belly than rawhide chews. They are also good for keeping her occupied because they take some time to eat!
On June 22, 2010:
I usually have 6-10 Griffs in my house at any one time. These Griffs, right out of a puppy mill, might not know how to play with a toy, but they certainly know how to enjoy a Merrick Flossie. It's wonderful to see them finally getting to do something that relaxes them and entertains them all at the same time. When they get done chewing, they fall right to sleep. I usually buy a box of the regulars and a box of the longs every month. Because I have dogs with aggressive chewing habits and also dogs with sensitive mouths, we need some of each to keep everyone happy. These are the only treats I buy -- made in the USA and good for the Griffs -- and worth every penny!
On June 22, 2010:
This is the only treat that my dogs flip out over. And this is definitely the best place to get them. Thank You!
On June 17, 2010:
Not all boxes of Flossies (6"-8") are created equal. This is the second time in a few months that my box of 50 consisted of the smallest, thinnest flossies I have ever seen. These are certainly not worth the price. Merrick would only get one star.
On June 17, 2010:
Excellent product, that our dog, and his cousin, Sadie, really like! Seems to be a real tasty treat for them to enjoy!
On June 11, 2010:
My dogs beg for Flossies every morning. They will chew on their Flossie for a while and then switch. I've also found that it is a great treat to take with you when visiting friends with dogs. I have yet to meet a dog who didn't love Flossies.
On June 9, 2010:
My 4-month-old golden retriever loves these flossies and they are saving us from those puppy teeth. I cannot believe how much he loves these things! My older goldens can eat one in about 2 or 3 minutes but the puppy spends a half an hour chewing on his flossie. Couldn't be happier -- what an awesome product.
On May 23, 2010:
My dogs love the flossies. They can't wait to get them. They are a very good product and the description tells you exactly what you are getting. My three dogs days' are not the same without their flossies.....five stars plus
On May 19, 2010:
When I was looking for a good product to replace my dog's daily "pig ear" treat (too fatty), I was given a recommendation by another pet owner for Flossies. This is a great product to give your dog a good chew (great for teeth!), and a great treat too. It was well worth buying a case for the savings, as well as the convenience of having them on hand. My dog sure does love his Flossies!
On May 8, 2010:
We've been ordering Merrick's Flossies for the last 3 1/2 years. They are a constant staple in our house. My 2 Yorkies look forward to these treats and I know that they're of great quality - they're made in the USA. Pet Mtn always has them available, has the lowest price and ships the fastest.
On May 6, 2010:
Besides being a yummy treat for my sweetheart Buttercup (and she is fusss-eee!), we like Flossies because they definitely help my honey keep her teeth and gums healthy. She never tires of them, and right after she and I eat dinner, when I light up my Cuban cigar and sip my English sherry, Buttercup lies at my feet and contentedly gnaws that delicious Flossie I give her as a reward for begging. Oh, and my dog really likes them too.
On April 28, 2010:
My three dogs love the flossies. They are approved by my vet and it helps them relax and helps in keeping their teeth I wouldn't know what to do without flossies..
On April 12, 2010:
Our dog, Bogey, really enjoys these chews and his teeth seem to appreciate them as well. I love having plenty on hand!
On March 10, 2010:
These are fabulous and a great price
On March 4, 2010:
Merrick's Flossies are my dog's only treat. He loves them and my vet confirmed that they actually do reduce tartar on his teeth. I am also very satisfied with the provider, Pet Mountain. They have good prices and excellent customer service.
On February 15, 2010:
my westie loves these. she gets one almost every day. I haven't been able to find any other chew that lasts as long- however these only occupy her about 10-20 min. Also, I don't see any added benefits on keeping teeth clean- she still needs weekly brushing.
On February 13, 2010:
Our 1 year old Shepherd loves these flossies as an evening treat 2 to 3 times a week. I feel they are a safe and healthy natural treat. I just wish they lasted longer. She can finish the flossy within 10 minutes.
On January 12, 2010:
This site is by far the most economical place I've found to purchase my two Westie's favorite treats. I've not known a dog to turn down these flossies. They are not as smelly as the bully spirals I find at pet stores.
On December 30, 2009:
These are my dog's favorite chews. Great product at great prices and fast service. Couldn't be better!
On December 18, 2009:
Dogs circle the box under the Christmas tree every year...they LOVE these!
On November 20, 2009:
*My First Purchase @ Pet Mountain * BEWARE- YOUR DOGS WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER!! I first bought Flossies at a pet store in CA for my puppies. Very expensive, but I wanted to satisfy their urge to "chew" as they were teething. Pet Mountain's prices are so much cheaper. I even got a special with the coupon offered. Flossies are the ONLY chew treat I give my Dogs. (Cockapoo & Shiba Inu) These are NATURAL (my Shiba's tummy is sensitive) and keep my girls teeth clean. After visiting the Vet, we were told to schedule a cleaning. After a few Flossies, they are almost sparkling white again. The Vet can't believe it. I ordered 2 boxes and they came in 2 days. WOW! Used PayPal..cool. It is Doggie Xmas every time I get the box out. I guarantee your dog(s) will go crazy for these. Makes me feel just as good seeing them so happy! Please DO NOT give your pets Rawhide. It can kill them. Pay for Flossies-it's worth every penny. Thank you Pet Mountain. My only source in Phoenix closed. We will always buy from you in the future!
On October 27, 2009:
Saved so much $ and great service!!
On October 27, 2009:
Great site for ordering, great service, and great product. I have ordered from other providers in the past 5 years that do not compare to Petmountain. They sent flossies in a box that looked like somebody just counted and threw them in a box. Petmountain is in the original box and sealed. This is the second time I have ordered from Petmountain and plan to do so in the future for my little Coco.
On October 20, 2009:
Our little dog loves these treats. They are good for her teeth and do not contain a bunch of "additives" which we like. Our local pet store, the only store in our area to carry Merrick Flossies, charges 50% more than Pet Mountain, which I like. Overall Pet Mountain has earned our future business.
On October 6, 2009:
The smell isn't so good, but it's worth it because the pups enjoy them so much. I usually order a 50-count box every two months and am always pleased with how quickly it arrives. My pups give them two paws up each!
On October 4, 2009:
All 4 of my dogs love Flossies. I order a box every other week to keep up with the demand. :)
On February 24, 2008:
My little pug goes crazy over these bones. She's just a little puppy and quite crazy at times. A lot of times we give her one of these bones and she calms down as she chews her bone.
On February 15, 2008:
Both my pups love these flossies! Not only do they keep their teeth clean and healthy, but it keeps them occupied when they can't go outdoors.
On January 28, 2008:
My dog chews at least one a day - no tooth decay - these are great.
On December 4, 2007:
A Flossy completely consumes the attention of our Imperial Shih Tzu. She absolutely will not leave it alone until she devours the entire treat. It also works great cleaning her teeth.
My son's large Irish Setter also loves his Flossy!@
On September 9, 2007:
I have two toy poodles who love their Flossies. They keep them busy for hours and hours. Thanks for a great product.
On August 7, 2007:
For those picky pooches -- my Shih-Tzu doesn't eat chews, bones, or bisquit treats -- but, he LOVES these curly chews. Good for the teeth, too!
On July 14, 2007:
Apple Sparkle is no different from any other dog in that she does not like it when Mommy and Daddy leave her alone at home. Since she loves to chew on Merrick Flossies more than anything else, we always give her a brand new Flossie before we leave home and tell her what a good girl she is.
She usually saves it until we get back at which time she stretches all the way out and chews and chews and chews. We have been giving her Merrick Flossies for 3 years, since she was a pup, and she still loves them as much as the first time she had one.
On May 23, 2007:
I have had several Golden Retrievers over the years. When we found Merrick flossies we were all hooked. Our Golden's love to play with and then eat them and we love watching the antics.
Cleaner teeth and no worries about choking add to the benefit.
On May 9, 2007:
My two yorkies love Flossies - it's the only bones they'll chew. As an added bonus we've noticed that when we give them the bones on a regular basis it improves their breath.
On May 7, 2007:
The person on the phone was extremely helpful and they had a product in stock that had become hard to find. Prices were very reasonable.
I would definitely buy from them again.
Excellent product!
On April 20, 2007:
There is one time of day we are NOT allowed to forget around our house. After I take Hannah Lynn and Doris Mae out to do their outdoor business first thing in the morning and they get their little yogurt-drop-atta-girl-bite-size-treats (one for each body function), it's their favorite time of the day. Heaven help me if I forget it too! They will claw at my shins, jump on my head, lick my face nearly off until it dawns on me! I jump up and cry out, "What time is it?" And they dance around me happily on their back two legs over to the pantry door. Before I open the door I say, "High-Five-high- five!" and they each slap their front paws against mine.
Into the pantry we go to the very back where the special box that comes about every 5 or so weeks--the Merrick Box. I fold open the top, swish around for just the right one, drawing out the moment for dramatic effect, of course. Finally spying one, I grab it and the three of us rush out into the kitchen again to grab the clippers I use to cut it in half. That was the deal I made with their Daddy before we got Doris, Hannah's sister. We wouldn't have to by extra flossies. I know, sad, but true.
The girls are going crazy by now, barking, salivating--you get the picture. Then, just as I cut through, I sing the song we made up "It is our Flossie time, It is our Flossie time! Our ding dang Flossie time! It is our Flossie time! (to the tune of Ta-Ra-Ra-Boom-De-A)
Hannah and Doris run to grab their Flossie and take it to their giant bed in the livingroom. Side-by-side, they happily naw away until... one of them decides the other has a better piece of the flossie!
On April 12, 2007:
This is the best price I have found on flossies! I have done a lot of research because they are not cheap. My dogs love them though and they pretty much get what makes them happy! I have 2 teacup chihuahuas and 1 teacup yorkie and these chews entertain them for hours! They are great!
On April 9, 2007:
Our little poodle will only chew these Merrick flossies. She hides it for a while and then when in the mood, chews it up. This is the only chewy item she likes. And this website has the best price.
On April 8, 2007:
My toy poodles go through these faster than I go through lattes.
On April 3, 2007:
My little chihuahua loves these. They keep her entertained...at least for a short time! She weighs 12lbs (not a teacup size) and I cut these in half to make them last longer. I would not give them to my dog unsupervised as they can be a choking risk. With all of the scare on recalled foods and treats I prefer these as you know what the ingredients are!
On November 18, 2006:
My 2 shih-tzus loved these! They would chew on it and nothing can distract them when fed with a Merrick Flossie...
On November 17, 2006:
Saturday mornings come and my two Yorkies know that mom is staying home and it is "Flossie" time. They will not leave me alone until my coffee is poured and I have two flossies in hand to sit and enjoy the morning. We also have to spell the word "Flossie" because they know the word and go nuts! Flossies "ROCK" in our house!
On November 16, 2006:
These are my dog's favorites. Since she's a chewer, we've been through all kinds of chewies but she doesn't get tired of these at all. She gets one a day & I feel they're keeping her teeth nice & clean so I love them too!
On November 5, 2006:
They are great for their teeth, take a while to eat, and the dogs love them.
