Petromalt Hairball Remedy Fish Flavor 2 oz tube. Virbac Petromalt Hairball Remedy Malt Flavor is an intestinal lubricant with an irresistible fish flavor. Aids in the elimination of swallowed hair and the prevention of hairballs. Petromalt for cats helps relieve constipation, dry cough and occasional vomiting associated with certain gastrointestinal blockages.
Petromalt Malt Flavor can be used for kittens over 4 weeks of age use a ½-1 inch ribbon once or twice a week. The medication should be placed on the nose or front paws where it can be licked off. Petromalt should be given between meals. Do not mix with food or give close to mealtime. The veterinarian may give specific directions for use and the professional advice should be followed closely. Petromalt is a non-prescription (OTC) product.
How Petromalt for Cats works:
Mineral oil is included in the ingredients for its laxative properties. Glycerin is added for its moisturizing properties.

Good for constipation

Hairballs are an even worse problem for rabbits than cats, because they cannot regurgitate them. Fortunately, rabbits like sweet things. Although no one told The Phooka that. And my cat Jazzi looked at me like I was crazy when I gave her some. But when the rabbit saw that the cat was getting some, and the cat saw that the rabbit was getting some... well, THAT was different. This is now their FAVORITE treat, and we've had no problems with hairballs since.
