The Tetra Bio-Active Pressure Filters with UV Clarifier are designed similar and include the same benefits as the regular pressure filters.
The Tetra UV Bio-Active Pressure Filter also integrates an Ultra-Violet Clarifier that provides permanent control of suspended algae which cause green water. The dome on top of the Tetra Bio-Active Pressure Filter protects the clarifier.

I have had ponds for over 10 years in two locations and have wasted money on a ton of filters.... until this one. I finally found something that you don't have to open and wash poop filled and smelly filter pads off. Remember to novice pond people, the filter pads must be washed in pond water, NOT from a hose and a distance... it is dirty smelly work without this unit. Dont waste your money on cheaper filters. Get this one and turn a dial to clean the filter... yeah!!!!! I own 3 of these!

Online order and delivery were efficient. Instructions and installation hints were clear and easy to understand. Installation of the unit was easy. Setup of the filter itself is a snap and takes only a few minutes. Installation time will be dependent upon whether you are burying the intake and outlet hoses. I have only had the unit operating for 2 weeks, but so far it is working well and clearing some very murky pond water. I really like the simplicity of not having to open the unit to clean (simply run the backwash feature until the outflow is clear). Great product so far!
