These white, biodegradable granules settle into the gravel where they nourish beneficial de-nitrifying bacteria that convert nitrate to harmless nitrogen gas. Nitraban adds further stability to aquariums by helping natural bacteria complete the nitrogen cycle. The water is kept biologically healthy for up to 6 months, extending time between water changes.

Great product

I have been using this product in a 10 gal tank that I was using as a test tank. After 3 months of using the product the water is clear as if it had just been changed and the fish are doing great. Tested the water and all levels are good. Truly amazing results, highly recommend product, the tank is virtually maintenance free, no more weekly water changes. Now using the product in my 80 gal tank. Pet Mountain also has the best price.

Here's a helpful bit of info for anyone that has a problem with this EASY BALANCE. YOU HAVE TO ADD EXTRA AIR WITH AIR STONES, I HAVE USED EASY BALANCE FOR ABOUT 3 YEARS KNOW, AND IT IS GREAT. PET MOUNTAIN HAS THE BEST PRICE ANY WHERE.

Wonderful Stuff

I'll admit to being overnurturing (I tend to feed to much) and couldn't quite get my nitrogen compound levels down where I wanted. Weekly water changes, cloudy water (and yes, I did try feeding the fish less) - but the product did a remarkable job. Within 32 hours the water was clear and ammonia was zero. I've been able to maintain perfect water quality since starting to use it (though I question recommending 6-month water changes).

GREAT PRODUCT!

Product does everything it claims to do, if you use it right. I have 4 orandas in a 55 gallon tank and one oranda in a 29 gallon tank have used every week for 6 months and they are the healthiest fish I have ever owned. I just did a 50% water change after 6 months and it works, it beats changing water every week with goldfish. RECOMMEND HIGHLY, BUT USE AS DIRECTED.

We've used easy balance in our aquarium for long time,it keep water biologically balanced for long enough,we do not have to change water often,and the fish looks like this products,and water is crystal pure!

A word of caution

I did not like the results of the easy balance and stopped using. I added a normal dosage to my 30gl tank and it adds hundreds of nitraban granules. They stay suspended in the water and the power filter could not clean all of them out. I had to completely start over. So after a complete water change, I added one capful. Same thing. GRANULES everywhere and they do not settle or go away! I'm glad others found success, but I did not. Use Aquasafe with small bi-weekly water changes.
