Tetrafauna ReptoFilter Disposable Filter Cartridges

I have a red eared slider and love my Tetrafauna ReptoFilter, but many pet stores stopped carrying the disposable filters! I thought that I was going to have to purchase a new type of filter, until I came across Pet Mountain. Thank you so much for carrying these filters and for a great price!

Ive got a 40 gal tank with 20 gal of water in currently. I also have a Magnum 350 filter as my main filter (very good system btw). Every now and then i need to do a water polishing since I'm running carbon media for my filter, and being the lazy person I am, I wanted an easier way of doing things so I decided to reinstall my old filter (I got it when I first got my baby res) and use that as a polisher while my Magnum acts as the main purifier. This website sells the filter media CHEAP so it actually turns out being cool. I would highly recommend doing this. Like I mentioned before, don 't be afraid of buying from this store, these guys are very reliable and very responsive (I generally get my orders within 3-4 days with standard (cheapy) shipping).

The filter definitely helps, mt tank used to need cleaning every two days at minimum, now i just it only needs to change the water about once a week but the cartridge hasnt been change yet.

This is the best deal I've found for these filters and I always order them in bulk. I do wish they came 4 in a pack since they have to be used 2 at a time with the filter system I have.

I just purchased the Reptofilter that looks like a waterfall and it works great. It is very easy to clean for the size of the rocks. I clean the whole filter once a week and replace the cartridges every 2 weeks or so. After a week you can pull the filter cartriges out and just rinse them off and replace them back in the unit. The only time the filter makes noise is if it is getting dirty. The filter begins to sputter and you can tell that it is time to clean it. Just rinse it all out and it works great again! It is not like maintenance free, but it looks really pretty in my turtles aquarium.

The Reptofilter cartridges work very well. It says 3 weeks worth of use per cartridge I have found if you wash them off you can get a couple of months use out of each cartridge. I have a red eared slider and they can get kind of messy. The Reptofilter itself works great.

This filter works very well! It is easy to use, so you just need to change the cartridge once a month. While you maintain your tank, you just need to add some water as much as the amount evaporated, and NO need to change the whole water! I am raising two aquatic turtles, and I haven't changed the whole water for about five month. And the water is still crystal clear! Now I'm buying this cartridge again, 4 boxes. I recommend this to everyone who are raising aquatic turtles.
