Tetrafauna ReptoFilter for Frogs, Newts and Turtles

Have 2 of the 90 GPH model used to filter a 45 G's long tank filled 1/3 that holds 2 RES turtles that are about 6" long. The pads will overflow every 3 -5 days, but just rinse them off outside with the garden hose, the dirty water goes into the flower beds. Been using the same pads for well over a year now. Filters are relatively quiet.

These filters work well as long as it's a baby turtle you've got. Once they grow to a 3 or 4-inch shell you really need something stronger to properly clean the water or you'll end up with skin problems from dirty water. Turtles produce a lot of waste and it takes a lot of filter to clean the water properly. But for babies, it's great and very affordable (good since you need $$ for turtles!)

This is such a great filter, I had to go online and write a review. It is super silent, can't even hear it. It also keeps the water crystal clear. Granted, I just installed it 2 days ago, but so far, it is awesome. I do have to say though, my previous filter was a fish filter, and that did not do the job required for 2 juvenile sliders. They get the 3 gal tank super gross and dirty in 3 days.

Great filter/pump, works a lot stronger and faster than previous filter/pump. Would recommend to anyone.

I started using the Tetra ReptoFilter two weeks ago and it's working great. I've got two turtles in a 10-gallon tank and the filter is able to keep the water clear. The directions are simple and easy to follow. Plus, the turtles love playing with the bubbles that are created by the stream of water that flows down.

I have used a variety of filters for my tank. I found that the repto filter works great and is strong enough to clean even the nastiest waters.

I have a baby red eared slider and his tank keeps getting really cloudy and i had to change the water every day...bought this filter and put it in my tank and the water stays crystal clear. I Love it!

i think that this filter performs better than other models of the same brand, and it performs well longer than other filters, and also will not let newts behind the filter cartridge.

Same product was priced at $29.95 at a major retail PET COmpany. Same brand, same product for more than 50% less! I thought shipping was a little steep for the Super Saver shipping, but with that price, I still made out.
