Great cage for the price

This cage came fast and is perfect for my pet rat!

Excellent cage!

Received this cage in a timely manner from company and was really pleased with the quality (and size!). It's sturdy and goes together easily. Our two rats love it. Could easily hold three small rats. Would definitely recommend to anyone with rats.

Nice cage but not for rats

My daughter's dumbo rats were getting too big for their first cage and this seemed like a good upgrade. The cage is more than big enough for the 2 "dumbo" rats who thought all their birthdays had come at once with all this new real estate. Unfortunately, within the first month, one of them wanted to expand further still and managed to chew a hole right through the plastic base and went on a walkabout. We did eventually find her skulking under a chest of drawers after I made some improvements using steel mess to prevent further breakout, they are now back in there, no doubt planning a new escape strategy.

Plastic

I recommend a taller cage for your chinchilla, but if you are short on money then this cage is ok, but you should invest in buying a bigger cage, I only had Chiffon (chinchilla) for a week but he keeps on biting on the plastic plates, he already chewed in a cm, chinchillas can get sick from all the plastic, so I'm gonna buy ferret cage pretty soon.
