Acurel Filter Fiber is a 100% polyester loose fiber floss for use with all aquarium filters. By covering the filter carbon with this material, an even greater amount of loose particles will be removed from suspension to provide a healthier environment for your aquarium fish.

I was hoping for sheets of this type of material. This (and the other sizes) is just a bunch of loose floss. I needed something to provide an inexpensive pre-filter material for my aquarium but this isn't it. I'm still using it and it works okay stuffed in an open part of my filter. If you're happy with loose material, this is probably a good choice for you.
Love this material to help filter out the bigger stuff and save my expensive main filter. I replace it frequently (because it's cheaper than the main filter).
