Algaway does get rid of the "pea soup" type algae that turns the water green. But it doesn't happen over night, it takes a while, and usually requires several treatments over several weeks. So patience is required. Once it happens though, the water will turn crystal clear.
Have tried everything for my algae problems. The only thing that ever worked was getting into the pond and stripping out the algae, or paying someone to clean it. Tried the Algaway 5.4 and 2 days later the pond was clear. Just a little dead algae to lift out here and there which was no big deal. Gave it to my neighbor and she is now a customer. This is the first product that has truly worked in 13 years.
I have tried all kinds of product, but this one works, I use it and I have clear healthy water for my Koi. No more String Algae.
