Ecofix Sludge Destroyer breaks down fish waste and dead algae, consumes organic pollution, and increases oxygen levels in your water, creating a clearer pond and a healthier habitat for your fish and live plants.
Directions: Shake well. Initial dose at Spring Start-Up and End of Season dose: Add 1/2 cup (120 ml) per 500 US gallons of pond water (1.89 L) twice a week for 2 weeks. Maintenance Dose: Add 4 Tbsp. (60 ml) per 500 US gallons of pond water every 2 weeks. Keep out of reach of children. For ornamental pond use only. Tip: For maximum cleaning power, treat pond water with the liquid algaecide Algaefix, then add Ecofix Sludge Destroyer. The bacteria in Ecofix will consume the dead algae for a cleaner, clearer pond.

I have used this product for several years and have always been pleased with its performance. I recently began ordering it in gallon containers and was concerned about leakage during delivery. However, no worries...the cap was wrapped with several layers of masking tape and not a drop was lost in transit. Thanks for doing a little extra.
After running through several treatments of AlgaeFix the water in our 8000 gallon pond was still very murky, and you couldn't see the fish if they were more than 6 inches below the surface. After 2 weeks of the recommended treatment of EcoFix, we can now see nearly to the bottom of the pond (5' deep) on a sunny day. This stuff is GREAT!

I regularly use powdered and liquid pond bacteria as well as barley straw extract. However, even adding AlgaeFix did not clear up my pond adequately. After adding an initial dose of EcoFix Bacterial Pond Cleaner to my 4,000-gallon pond, the water cleared up and has continued to stay that way. EcoFix Bacterial Pond Cleaner will become part of my regular pond water maintenance.
Not only does it do what it says it will, I like it especially for the O2 production for all the fish. Every spring the pond is in big need to be cleaned out and this has done the best job in the shortest period of time of any product I have found.
This is the second time I've used this product.. . .and as with the first time, the supply goes faster than expected with my 200gal pond. After the significant amount used for the beginning of season start, I'll be lucky if the 16o z lasts through October. Smells great, but since the results are the same as MicrobeLift PL, I'd rather stick with the latter...it's cheaper per ounce.
Works just as advertised. A valuable tool in my pond maintenance kit... really helps keep the pond clear and the water in a healthier condition.

As usual all items I have ordered from Petmountain are excellent products. I can see a difference in the pond water after only a bit over a week. Did find the shipping rather strange. Tracked it with FedEx from SD to the LA area then it came backwards by USPS to Mountain Center. Fortunately it fit in my mail box otherwise a 20 mile ride to the Post Office.
Have used this product before for small decorative ponds. They still get algae and get cloudy after rainfalls, etc. Using this as a maintenance tool has been great and the pond has remained clear.
I visited someone who had a beautiful pond...although mine was a dug frog pond...I was filled with algae.. she shared this product with me and in four days wow!
