Aquarium Solutions Betta Revive Customer Reviews
I will never go without several of these on hand. I have lots of bettas. If something starts going around and I have 2 or 3 boys that need medicine, these work very well. I also use them for quarantining new fish. ...but WHY doesn't Hikari make a 4-to-8-ounce bottle of this stuff? If they would, I would give it five stars in a heartbeat!
I should have enlarged the image on the picture provided then I would have seen that one of these little squeeze bottles treats 5 gallons. I did not notice this until my order arrived. My betta is in a 10 gallon tank. Since the package says to treat for at least 3 days (and not more than 7 days.) I would need to buy at least 6 of these Betta Revive bottles, but I only ordered one. I could move him into a small hospital bowl temporarily....but when we had him in a bowl in the past, we couldn't keep the water warm enough. So I'm treating him with another anti-bacteria and anti-fungal medicine for now since that's what I have available...fingers crossed. Due to the other good reviews, I might buy more of these Betta Revive to have on hand for the future, just in case.
I have a male betta in my office at work who developed a pretty bad case of ICH. he was barely moving in his bowl and didn't eat for at least 4 days. I decided to give Betta Revive a try - changed the water on a Friday and put about 5 drops in. the water was really blue. and went home for the weekend. I wasn't expecting to see him alive on Monday. But much to my surprise, on Monday morning he looked MUCH better - swimming around his bowl and even ate a little. I changed his water again, added more Betta Revive, and within another day or two, he was back to his old feisty self. I definitely recommend this stuff!
I used this medication both for my sick danio and Betta in separate occasions. I'm not an expert, but I figured fish either get sick due to bacterial or fungal diseases. My danio was sick so it couldn't swim. Danio didn't have any visual symptoms for fungus, so I spared her in a small vase, and administered this medication for 4 days. From the second day on it was swimming happily already. My Betta in a separate tank had symptoms such as not having appetite for 4 days, wasn't being active, laying on the gravel, and developing bleeding look on her gills. I took the live plants out of her tank, and removed the carbon filter media, then administered the medication. From the 3rd hour or so she began to swim around more actively. Then, she had the pellet I put in her water with a big appetite; I fed her more, so she could gain her lost nutrition. I kept her for 4 days in medicated water just to make sure. It's been over a week and no signs of anybody getting sick again. Note: This product dyes the gravel and rubber air tubes slightly to blue. Best to use it in a hospital tank/vase.
