Lots Of Work To Get It Clear But Worth It

I bought this substrate because I wanted to change from river rock to sand. The shipping was fast, but when I put the sand in my tank it made my whole house smell like really rotten eggs and it was extremely cloudy. So I called Pet Mountain and they were not much help. So I called Caribsea directly and they were amazing. I talked with them and they helped me get rid of the smell and the water is now crystal clear. My fish love it.

Great Stuff

I have used this substrate in multiple tanks. It looks great. Although I would prefer it darker I just mix some black sand with it and it looks great. I do regular water changes with buffer and my pH always stays at 8.2-8.4. When it comes to cleaning it I just vacuum off the top as it is fine enough that when I have vacuumed it I get nothing from underneath the top layer. Highly recommended.
