I bought this machine to feed an outdoor cat when on vacation. Must say this item paid for itself on the first trip. Very easy to use. Cat at first freaked out because of the noise but afterwards, it would run to the machine because it knew it was about to be fed. I recommend it.
I purchased one unit about a year ago and since it worked great and I had the need to purchase another unit for a new pet, I did not hesitate at all. Only one thing...the new pet figured out right away how to extract more food from the unit so I had to mount it few feet from the ground and install a chute to guide the food to the pet's bowl. Not a biggie.
