FAQ:
Q: What happens if I use a higher wattage deicer than needed in my pond
A: The De-Icers are thermostatically controlled. This means, as long as you purchased the minimum wattage required for your zone and pond size, they will work fine. Keep in mind that higher wattage models will use more electricity than the lower wattage models. For example, the 750 watt De-Icer will use three times the amount of electricity when running versus the 250 watt De-Icer.
Q: There is a piece of Styrofoam in the ring. Do I leave it in
A: To use this product as a floating De-Icer, leave it as is. To use it as a submersed De-Icer, simply unscrew and remove the float ring.
Q: At what temperature should the De-Icer turn on
A: Our Thermo-Pond units are thermostatically controlled to keep the average water temperature just above freezing. They feature internal thermostats and will turn on and off as necessary to keep the pond from freezing over.

THE BEST POND DE ICER EVER!

So I had initially ordered a 'thermo-pond' 100 watt heater last year. It worked about 2 days this year so it didn't last more than a season. For the same price I paid for that, I got this one. I was skeptical- thought it would **** out on me. But it's been going strong and my ENTIRE pond has been de-iced! My fish are exploring more and I feel better knowing they're somewhat warmish in this negative temp weather :). I totally recommend this de-icer. I don't think it heats up the water, but it sure takes care of the ice! BTW, I have about a 2,000 gallon pond, with a liner. Doesn't burn. Hope this helps! :)

Works well

This is the best pond warmer I've had. Works very well, you can literally see the steam coming off the warmer when it's working. I've had several different ones and this one works best. I can't comment on the life of the warmer at this point but it's exactly what I've been looking for. I have a small 100 gal pond liner with Koi and it's working exactly as described in the ad description.

Love this product!

I love this de-icer so much I'm going to order a 2nd one as a back-up. I have the 750W model. My pond is completely open right now, and we've been having single digit temps, and below zero overnight. Earlier this season I had had problems keeping an opening in the ice so toxic gases could escape and my fish wouldn't die. I did lose a couple fish, but now with this de-icer the ones I have left will make it through the winter.

Pond deicer

Excellent product, price and shipping! Actually too big (powerful) for my two ponds. Put on timers with eight "three hour" clusters for 24 total hours. Right now two hours off and one hour on. Can fine tune as temperature dictates, and, since it's a equally repeating pattern within a 24 hour period no concern as to whether or not the timer is actually set to the correct time!

This is my second one like this ,because I built another pond and this thing really does the job and does not use a lot of energy either. I like the fact you can also submerge it so easily or let it float. None of the others give you that option. The way it's built protects your fish from burns also. The price here is the cheapest I ever found anywhere buy it you will love it as I do!
