Over twenty years of experience with pre filters, and I always have an extra one of these on hand. Forget the pet stores and E-mail Q and A's when the only filter you will ever need is here and at the same price of the thin plastic filters.
Not easy to find this item - took some surfing on the net. I was able to find exactly what I wanted at Pet Mountain at a good price. Easy to order parts. Efficient shipping. Product arrived in the expected time frame. I will certainly use Pet Mountain in the future if I need spare parts.
The mag drive pump is a very reliable pump and worked great out of the box. It moves a LOT of water. I would suggest the plastic prefilter for pumps larger than 950. I have the foam filter, and it gets pretty dirty quickly and needs to be cleaned.
