Seachem Discus Buffer Adjusts pH to 5.8 to 6.8 in Aquariums Customer Reviews
Exactly what you need to lower your pH for discus tank. Do not use liquids or tabs, they do not work. Use this with SeaChem Neutral Regulator. Super easy instructions are right on the bottle. Discus owner must have.
You really need to keep track of your ammonia levels...buy these and you'll know your levels at all times.
This product keeps my aquarium water pH balanced at 6.8. Otherwise, it would be sky high at 8.0 and very akalinic. You don't want that for your typical aquarium community fish!
This product maintains my water chemistry for my kullifish and discus. Easy and economical to use.
I have used this product for over a year now in my 125 g discus tank. So far I like it. The major reason for me to use this product is because my tap water comes out at pH 7.6, then it jumps to 8.3 within 24 hours. I use this product to keep a stable pH so I don't have to age my water. That makes water change much easier to do, which in turn gives me the chance to do more water changes. Everyone in discus keeping knows how important is to do more water changes. I do a 70% wc twice a week and Discus Buffer helps me to have a stable pH without aging 80+ gallons of water all the time. Few things you need to be aware of this product. If you are trying to breed discus, this product may not be good for you. If you have planted tanks, do watch out for the phos goes up. After all this is a phos based acid. You may want to cut down the lighting period in your tank to limit the algae growth. Other than that, I think this is a great product.
Many of fish stuffs have very good price. I already refer to several friends, only thing need improve is that if a item out off stock you might let customer put a order first and ship the item later with an other shipment, many other web sellers are doing so.
