ZuPreem Natural with Added Vitamins, Minerals, Amino Acids Bird Food for Medium Birds Customer Reviews
Our 2 yr old cockatiel seems to enjoy eating this, but we find the pellets scattered all over the tile, as she flings them when eating. She doesn't do it with other food pellets, which are smaller in size, so it seems these are a bit too large for her to eat without causing a bit of a mess.
I've been feeding my pet cockatiels ZuPreem natural for several years now. It's much better for them than the typical seed-based bird foods you find in most stores. I have six birds, so I buy the 20-pound bag of ZuPreem. It's the least-expensive option for this product, and it lasts for a few months before I have to order again. If you've been feeding your bird(s) a more traditional seed-based diet, your bird(s) may refuse the ZuPreem at first. But be persistent (and patient!) with them, and they will eventually take to the new, healthier diet.
The price is right and the delivery fast. Will order again.
It took my birds a short time to get used to the diet switch but now they love this stuff. I have 3 12 y/o cockatiels and they are very healthy.
My avian vet recommended Zupreem, and as soon as my birds saw the cute little pellets, they started munching and crunching and won't stop. I am purchasing our 4th bag. They just cant get enough of this yummy stuff!
This is by far the best pellets my flock of Tiels like. They'll eat just about anything but ZuPreem is their favorite.
I had some issues with past cockatiels and their diets that led to health issues. When I took my bird in to the vet, he recommended Zupreem, especially the non-colored kind. I have been feeding this ever since and have healthy, happy birds! Great product, the birds love it.
We've tried the one with peppers and they won't eat it. This is consistently the favorite.
Let me assure everyone who read ZUzU's review. The Morris Family sold Hill's Pet Food to Colgate. Colgate elected to not pursue the exotic business (bird, primate, omnivores) so the business, ZuPreem, reverted back to the Morris Family. ZuPreem is in no way associated with Hill's, either as a sister company, nor as any other type of business arrangement. Other than the fact that the current owners grandfather developed Science Diet and Prescription Diets, there is no business relationship. Nor is ZuPreem related to Menu Foods. I hope this clarifies any concerns ZUzU has. ZuPreem is an excellent nutritional product for your birds, without the risks associated with imported wheat starch.
Made the unplanned switch over to Zupreem from Roudybush when I couldn't find any RB in stock locally ... My suprise. All six of my babies made the switch within days with no real problem & like the new pellets. My only complaints? It's MESSY MESSY ::grin:: and flies further than Roudybush ... But truly ... The real worry -- That Zupreem is the sister company to Hills Science Diet (::ahem:: of Menu Foods fame) Due to this fact ... I may not remain using Zupreem. Undecided yet, the jury is still out.
My bird has a damaged beak and is a convert from seed. The cockatiel natural is the only pellet the she really likes! Her color and health has improved since my vet recommended ZuPreem.
Our bird "Buddy" loves this stuff. He is a happy and very healthy 14 years old and is thriving on ZuPreem Avian Maintenance Natural. What else need I say? It's a great diet for cockatiels.
My tiels absolutly LOVE this, and it's much healtier than an all seed diet.
