Monitoring calcium levels is essential for keeping a successful reef aquarium. Reef organisms use calcium to build a calcium carbonate skeleton. Over time, as the calcium in the water is utilized, the calcium level will gradually drop. Calcium must be present for corals to grow.

I am currently using it as I apply Cupramine to treat a Royal Gramma with ich. The color comparison can be a challenge as with any test kit that involves a chart. Comes with a syringe, vial with cap and the bottle of reagent. Seems to be working well but I have not used any other Cu test kit to compare it too. I would definitely buy it again.

Accurate test

I have been using the API calcium kit for a while now. It gives very accurate readings. The tubes however are not very easy to handle. You have to be careful of water spilling when shaking the tubes as the lids don't always stay on. I will purchase the product again because the readings are accurate but I wish they would make better tubes.
