I bought them because nobody here carries them. I had a lot of Pleco's and needed to change filters often.

Does its job well

I have always used these filters. They last about 2 months or so with me taking them out once to rinse off and put back in. but they are inexpensive to purchase and come in a 3 pack which is great. I'm not sure what happened but when I first started purchasing these they were thicker and lasted longer. Now when I purchase them they are are about half the thickness they use to be so there for they don't last as long and the fabric seems to be a little more fragile than before. I still like them and use them but just wish they would be thicker again. The material seemed to be stronger and the thickness helped better with keeping the waste out of my tank.
