JW Pet Insight Bird Bath for Parakeets and Similar Sized Birds for Small and Medium Cages

Not even kidding, this product is freaking awesome. I just had a bunch of baby birds hatch and I'm using this as a food dish and right now, as I type this, there are 4 babies in the bath/food dish eating. It works out so well and I think it makes them feel really comfortable too!

My young parakeet took to this bath in an instant and he uses it everyday. Great product, well made.

These bird baths are great but you would probably be surprised at how we use them. We use them as food dishes for our birds. They are perfect. If you have a bird I am sure you have a problem with the food getting everywhere. With these dishes all the food stays in the dish and you have no more mess. Yes thats right Bird baths as food dishes. Give it a try!

My parakeets have found three uses for it - Birdbath: They enjoy having a good splash. I have found two at a time enjoying it. It is easy to remove and clean. I have not had a problem with leaks, although you do have to be careful when putting it together. I use demineralized water. Food dish: I have placed celery leaves, celery root, zucchini and carrot gratings and finely chopped dried cranberries in it. Nest: One of my birds decided to lay eggs in it. I may need another!

These bird baths are great. We use them as bird feeders for our cockatiels. They keep all the food in the cage and make clean-up so much easier.

Excellent item and gotta love the price! My three Indian Ring-necks love this Insight Bath! They bathe daily in it! And it really helps to contain the bath water! Before I got this, they used to bathe in the bowl of water I'd set for them to drink and the water would splash and splatter everywhere! They love it so much, they sometimes actually fight each other to get into the bath!(lol) Easy to clean and attaches pretty well to the little opening in the bird cage door. Definitely worth the purchase!

This is a nice, well built bird bath and my canary was eager to give it a try. He studied it very carefully and tried several times to fly into it, but hit his wings on the sides. I finally removed it for his protection. It does leak, but will work if you don't over-fill it. I am looking for a parakeet who needs a nice bird bath.

This bath fits our cage well, with 4 finches who like to take baths. The top locking mechanism is sometimes tough to get through the bars, unless you widen them out with your finger. This also tends to crack the dome because of the amount of force needed to push it through. The point where the top half and bottom slide together leaks, if you have birds that splash around a lot. After my second one broke, I first seal the slide channel with silicone sealant and then slide it together. That stops the leaks. It just seems like you shouldn't have to re-engineer it to work properly. All told, the birds enjoy it, so it's worth it!
