Easy to fill and the finches love it!

AWESOME finch feeder!

This is absolutely the best finch feeder I have owned! Every day I have numerous finch feeding, sometimes as many as 15-20 at one time! It truly is an amazing feeder! I have found the finch prefer the thistle seed over the mixed type of seed and the only drawback is the amount of seed they can consume. 2 feeders gets a little expensive, but worth the cost. I frequently see several different colors of finch and have them year round. Watching their colors in the spring become so vivid is just so beautiful. I would highly recommend this finch feeder to anyone who wants to be an avid feeder and watcher of these beautiful birds.

Good idea - could be better

I purchased this product because of the dome to help protect seed from the elements - which it does nicely! Unfortunately the holes in the mesh socks provided are a bit too large and a good deal of seed falls to the ground and may be wasted. Sparrows appreciate that, but the goldfinches are not ground feeders. I will probably end up using seed socks with finer mesh.
