Filter Bags Save Money and Flexible

The Lee's filter bags may be filled with bulk charcoal, bulk ammo resin, ceramic bacteria media or plastic bacteria media or any combination of media providing filter media flexibility. Using bulk media and Lee's filter bags is far less expensive than using pre-filled media filter bags. I have used Lee's filter bags for several years to reduce the filter media costs of fish and turtle tanks. The quality of filtration using Lee's filter bags is comparable to using any of the pre-filled filter media bags.

Multi Purpose

I use these for a wide variety of applications - carbon, purigen, ammo chips, as pre-filters for power heads and anything else that I can use them for. Good quality at a good price. Only wish there were other sizes available.

Great for bagging chem products

I use these bags to make up "chemical bags." Each with different products for removing ammonia, etc. that can be easily switched out as test show are needed.

Not bad for the price, and need bigger sizes

I use them for chemical filter media in a homemade koi pond filter. They work good. The cons: the draw string is a pain in the ****, seams split easily, and the limited sizes (need some bigger sizes).

THRIFTY!

I fill mine with Ammonia Chips (for clear water and quick ammonia removal) and Activated carbon (to remove harmful chemicals and clear water) These substances can be used over and over again with the media bag. Ammonia chips (rinse, place in vinegar for 20 minutes, rinse and dry) carbon, rinse well and dry) and they are fine for reuse. Look out for that drawstring, though, it will tangle and break very easily.
