Description

Lees Under gravel Filter is the key to providing a strong biological filtration system. Aquarium under gravel filters utilize your tank's gravel substrate as a filtering surface area while providing oxygen to help aerate your aquarium water.

Placed on the bottom surface of the aquarium, the filter plates utilize the gravel bed as a source of surface area for bio-filtration and provide oxygen by recirculating the water down through the media and up through the uplift tubes. The advanced design allows separate plate installation and features an optional flow-thru setup, which can be used with a powerhead. Adjustable 1" uplift tubes provide superior water circulation. The filter is made of special, premium quality plastic that resists splitting and cracking.

Lees Under Gravel Water Fliter

I started using Lee's Under Gravel Water filters in the late 1990's. The units have a simple design, easy to assemble and changing filter medium is a snap. They are great, and do an excellent job. I would recommend Lee's to all my friends. Good quality and excellent prices.

I placed an order for a large Under Gravel Filter. I honestly thought that the product would only come with the bottom grates, and maybe some tubes, but I was wrong! Not only did it come with all the nessesary parts, but it actually came with additional parts so that it gives you a few different options for setup. I opted to add standard shipping and it came just as ordered. It's so great having a company that you can trust not only with customer service but that carries grade A products. Know your product

I love Lee's underwater gravel filter. HOWEVER, I purchased two of the smaller packs and, unlike the photo which showed two tubes on it, it came with only one. It should have been in the description...and if it was, I apologize for not seeing it. The nice thing about getting it is it DOES come with everything else needed for the one tube. It comes with an air stone, tubing, and carbon air cleaner. A hint for getting the tube through the hole (as the hole has to be tight enough for the oxygen to be redirect to go through the front and not up the top) cut the top of the tubing on an angle, use warm water to soften it and make it a little more plyable and quickly get it through the hole before it cools off. Make sure to take as little as possible off because you can always take more off, but you can't add it back on. Works like a charm!

Excellent product. Fits my tank perfectly.Instructions for assembly of the filter pieces woefully in-adequate however. Needs better description of how to cut out tabs between panels and how to stretch the pieces of tubing to fit over the pegs.Once assembled it works very well.

This under gravel filter seems to work very well so far. The reason I gave this item 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the difficulty in assembling it. Otherwise I would recommend this product.
