Good - has only one flaw

This thermometer is nice because it is big and easy to read, but is small enough to fit nicely in even a 3 gallon eclipse system. The only flaw is that manufacturer decided to make the background color of the tropical zone a dark blue. This is not good because the tick marks and numbers are black. This makes reading temperatures in the tropical zone difficult w/o shining a light on the thermometer.

Accurate but not easy to read

The thermometer is accurate and handy that it suctions to the side of the tank. But unfortunately the dark blue color of the optimum temperature range makes it too difficult to read. I need to shine a flashlight on the thermometer to read the temperature.
